Karen, founder of Affordable Legal Services, established the company in 2009 after developing a strong foundation in the legal field at an early age. While still in high school, she began working for various law firms, where she gained firsthand experience and a deep understanding of legal office operations.
She completed her paralegal studies in 2009 and shortly thereafter became a Registered Legal Document Assistant (LDA) with the County of Los Angeles. Since then, she has consistently maintained her registration in good standing, fulfilling all continuing education and renewal requirements. Her registration has remained in good standing and has never been suspended or revoked.
Over the years, she expanded her expertise as a law office manager, developing extensive knowledge in legal office operations, client relations, and case management. This experience ultimately led her to establish Affordable Legal Services, with the mission of providing accessible, accurate, and reliable legal document preparation services.
In addition to legal document assistance, Karen offers tax preparation. She is bonded and registered with the County of Los Angeles, CTEC certified, and an active member of CALDA (California Association of Legal Document Assistants).
Known for her professionalism, organization, and client-focused approach, Karen is dedicated to ensuring every client receives efficient, detail-oriented service and clear guidance throughout their legal document preparation process.
Emma Bo has been a dedicated member of Affordable Legal Services since 2021, serving as both Office Manager and Head of the Billing Department. Emma has built strong, structured relationships with clients by providing consistent communication, reliability, and support while assisting them with document preparation. She plays a key role in organizing client documents, ensuring that each document is prepared with care and that all tasks are completed thoroughly and on time.
Erick Martinez has been a valued member of Affordable Legal Services since 2023, serving as a Client Service Assistant with a focus on client intake and PR. He assists clients with completing intake forms and providing required information in a clear, organized, and professional manner. He specializes in gathering detailed intake information, managing client communications, organizing financial documentation, and assisting with document preparation at the client’s direction.
